Tomáš Ruller / Perform Made

"Tomáš Ruller’s monograph is the first comprehensive reflection on his artistic output spanning more than forty years. The work of this significant figure in performance art and video art is assessed by leading Czech and international art theorists from various perspectives and in different contexts. Historical and contemporary texts, organised thematically, analyse Ruller’s individual performances and the general principles of his approach, conveying their significance and timeless nature, whilst also providing a broader account of a hitherto under-explored area of Czech performative art. An integral part of the book is the rich, often highly unique photographic documentation and the author’s distinctive reflections on his own work. The book has been published in a Czech-English edition. Published by KANT in collaboration with the Brno House of Arts, the Prague City Gallery and the Aleš South Bohemian Gallery."
