The Cornerstones of Life and Architecture

Visionary, humanist, genius, original, indomitable optimist. These are the words often used to describe the world-renowned American architect Daniel Libeskind. His book is partly an autobiography and partly a reflection on architecture and its impact on people, shedding light on the roots of the author's unique approach to public space. In a language sparkling with wit and erudition, Daniel Libeskind explains how his personal life experience has been reflected in his conception of the largest and most significant architectural commission of the twenty-first century: the conceptual design for the World Trade Center site. A book full of vitality, humour, and brilliant visions, it offers readers a new perspective on architecture and on the world at large.
