Technology of Chemical Substances and Their Applications

The author of this university textbook, intended for students of the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology, has chosen an encyclopaedic format for the text, which contains a list of entries in individual branches of chemistry with a description of their technology, without delving into the deeper chemical and physical contexts, the explanation of which is usually the subject of inorganic chemistry textbooks. The textbook was created as study material for the course ‘Chemical Substances Technology’. It is intended primarily as an overview of chemical substances and a supplement to lectures, where selected substances, materials, diagrams and technologies are presented in greater detail. It also includes some articles from the daily press and conferences, as well as a list of recommended reading for further study.
