Kadlčák – Statics of Building Structures II. / 2nd Reprint

The second volume of the textbook on the statics of building structures focuses on planar and spatial statically indeterminate truss structures, for which the reactions of external and internal connections, as well as the components of internal forces, cannot be determined from static equilibrium conditions alone. To solve these problems, it is also necessary to apply deformation conditions, thereby taking into account the influence of structural deformation on the structural and deformation state of the structure. The material is divided into four parts, presented clearly with an emphasis on logical structure, and builds on the fundamental knowledge and concepts from the first volume. Important terms or sentences are highlighted in the text. Important relationships and equations requiring particular attention are marked with a special symbol. Review questions are included at the end of each chapter. The textbook is intended not only for students of technical universities, particularly those specialising in civil engineering, but also for structural engineers and designers.
