Product description

p { text-align: justify; } The book examines the effects of condensation during two-phase fluid flow in a heat exchanger with very small-diameter tubes for vertical and inclined positions with various connection configurations. Fluid temperature profiles, surface tension, heat flux, mass flux, steam quality, surface roughness, friction factor, thermal and hydrodynamic behaviour, gravitational orientation, position and connection are important parameters that significantly influence the heat transfer characteristics during phase changes of flowing fluids in condensation or evaporation. Dimensionless numbers play an important role here; their experimental calculation or prediction based on suitable correlation relationships is an essential part of computational and design procedures. This publication is aimed at readers with a deeper understanding of heat transfer and fluid flow and is intended for use in the preparation of doctoral and postdoctoral theses in the fields of building environmental engineering and process engineering.
