Product description

The Incomplete Atlas of Regeneration outlines possible escape routes from the convergence of crises accompanying the end of the Holocene and the onset of the Anthropocene. A whole range of concepts, values and pillars that we once took for granted and relied upon in our lives are transforming or collapsing outright. Radical and accelerating changes, of which we are simultaneously the instigators, witnesses, perpetrators and victims, are bringing new problems. These are problems linked to the exploitation of the biosphere and the loss of biodiversity, climate destabilisation, a global economy dependent on fossil fuels and economic growth, corporate consumerist propaganda, extreme social inequality, the penetration of digital platforms into all areas of life and ubiquitous soft manipulation, and a crisis of subjectivity and shared values. Excessive productivism and the pressure for discipline, exploitation and efficiency have led us to a state of personal, social and planetary exhaustion. This creates a need to find new ways of addressing these new problems. We believe that the search for adequate forms of regeneration, renewal and rest must become one of the most important axes of political life in the 21st century. If fatigue is not followed by rest and regeneration, an irreversible, abrupt transition to another state ensues. In other words, collapse.
